I was on a vacation in early 2013 when I discovered a pea-sized lump on my breast after doing a self-exam. I decided to do this because I had previously felt a sharp pain.
I immediately incorporated certain changes in my lifestyle and my diet. I started juicing vegetables, prepared healthy recipes, eliminated certain foods and consumed ingredients known for their powerful cancer-fighting abilities. I also enrolled in the Institute of Integrative Nutrition.
I consumed satisfying meals and I was always satiated. While making these changes, something happened. Apart from restoring my health, I am now cancer-free. What is amazing is that I had tried really hard to lose weight in the past, but always unsuccessfully. With the changes I made, I was eating more than ever, but I was still losing weight. I felt good, energized, had regular bowel movements, slept well and my skin was radiant.
These 12 Things Helped Me Fight Cancer and Lose Weight:
- I drank a warm cup of lemon water first thing in the morning
This drink aids the flow of digestive juices and promotes morning hydration. Moreover, for additional benefits, you can add apple cider vinegar. It regulates the pH level, improves the blood pressure and much more.
- Listen to What Your Body is Telling You
Pay attention to the signals your body is sending you and eat only when you feel hunger.
- Make Sure to Hydrate Well
Drinking lemon water with some cayenne will prevent formation of stones or calcifications and will help you eliminate toxins. You should drink half of what you weigh in ounces.
- Make sure to eat green smoothie for breakfast, four days in a week
Consuming a green smoothie is an excellent way of getting the necessary nutrients. One of my favorite smoothies is made with 1 cup of kale or spinach, ¾ cup of pineapple, ice, coconut water and 1 tablespoon hemp.
- Combine green vegetables with acid-forming foods
In case you are eating eggs, eat vegetables like broccoli and steamed spinach as well.
- Consume green juices on a daily basis
Consuming green juices like kale, cucumber, ginger and lemon is an amazing way to get chlorophyll in your body and blood. Chlorophyll has anti-inflammatory and detoxing properties.
- Eliminate Packaged Foods
You should eat nuts, seeds and whole vegetables and fruits. You need to consume no more than ¼ cup a day.
- Incorporate iodine-rich sea vegetables in your diet to support thyroid function
Put some seaweed in your soup, or eat nori chips as a snack.
- Limit the consumption of animal-protein
Consume lentils, pumpkin seeds or avocado instead of animal protein.
- Eat Sour Every Sunday
Prepare yourself delicious vegetable soup.
- Make Sure that You Connect with Nature Every Day
Walking barefoot will have a positive effect on your vibration. This is known as earthing. Another way to connect with earth is by lying down in the grass.
- Brush Your Skin Using a Skin Brush Prior to Showering
Doing this will remove toxins and dead skin cells from your skin.
