As a result of medical research and ancestral wisdom we found out that there are foods, which contain certain nutrients able to prevent and/or destroy cancerous cells within the body.
But are there foods that are able to trigger cancer development and growth?
Here are several foods you should avoid in order to stave off cancer, i.e., they may not directly trigger cancer but they actually contribute its development.
1. Refined sugar
Did you know that sugar is eaten by cancer cells for satisfaction of their extreme energy needs? So, it is a fact that the less sugar as well as processed sweeteners you consume, the lower your risk of cancer development.
Unluckily, refined or white sugar doesn’t have nutritional value, but its only value lies in its flavour. In other words, robbed of its nutritious elements during processing, at the end of the process there is really just cancer in a bag.

5. Processed meat
Meat products, for instance: sausages, hot dogs, and deli meats are loaded with chemicals in order to prolong their shelf life. As they contain cancer-causing nitrates, childhood consumption of these foods is associated with leukaemia, pancreatic and brain cancer.
