You Can Burn a Lot of Calories by Adding 2 Tbsp. of This Coconut Oil Mixture to Your Morning Coffee!

The first time I’ve heard about adding oil and fat to coffee, definitely my facial expression was a mix of confusion and disgust.

It’s not every day that you come across a beverage, containing coconut oil and butter! Particularly in a society where we’re desperately trying to eliminate fat and calories from everything we consume.

How to add coconut oil in your coffee

I’d check the calories without even glancing at the ingredients, and purchase non-fat, French Vanilla coffee creamer, oblivious to the fact that palm-oil was the third ingredient, since at the time, being skinny was the priority, which meant avoiding fatty and high calorie foods.

The video below explains why avoiding calories just doesn’t work.

Today, I’m older and wiser, and my priorities have actually shifted from must be skinny to must to healthy, and I do know that including fat to your diet will not make you fat.

In addition, coconut oil, in particular, can boost your metabolism as well as help you burn calories!

Unlike most oils, coconut oil contains medium-chain fatty acids, instead of long-chain fatty acids. These fatty acids are metabolized differently than long-chain, resulting in a beneficial boost in metabolism. To explain you more deeply, in this study, 1 to 2 tablespoons of medium chain fats from coconut oil per day increased energy expenditure by 5%, which is equal to 120 calories per day.

You should know that it will not make your coffee greasy or coconut-y. Instead, this coconut oil coffee creamer will actually provide you with a rich and creamy coffee, which is perfectly sweetened with honey and flavored with cinnamon and vanilla.

Remember, there are no palm-oil, no preservatives, and no artificial sweeteners!

Consume this coffee with a nutritious breakfast and you’ve set yourself up for a pretty great day!

Here is why I love my coconut oil coffee creamer:

- Unlike adding cold milk or cream, coconut oil creamer will not cool down my hot cup of coffee.

- Moreover, it will not dilute the flavor.

- Coconut oil is always on-hand, while dairy creamers expire and you’re sometimes stuck consuming black coffee.

- I really feel alert and energized for longer than I would with just coffee alone.

But, what is Bulletproof® Coffee?

It contains 1-2 tablespoons of grass-fed butter, 1-2 tablespoons of Brain Octane or XCT oil, and 1-2 cups of coffee and these ingredients are all blended in a blender.

Additionally, grass-fed butter gives this coffee a delicious buttery taste but it’s free of gluten, sugar and GMOs. Grass-fed butter is an extremely good ingredient, so by adding it to your diet, it can raise good cholesterol levels, thus decreasing your risk of heart disease. It is also a great source of Vitamin K2, which plays a major role in bone health, reducing your risk of developing osteoporosis.

What’s more, Brain Octane is another key ingredient in this delicious coffee. It is distilled from coconut oil, meaning it contains lauric acid that has antiviral, antibacterial and antifungal abilities. This ingredient also provides you with mental and physical energy, aiding your body burn fat and boosting cognitive performance.

How to prepare this coconut oil coffee creamer

Bear in mind, the ratios that I use are to my preferred sweetness and flavor. In case you don’t like your coffee sweet, exclude the honey or use less of it.

- 3/4 cup of organic coconut oil (soft but not melted)

- 1 teaspoon of organic cinnamon powder

- 1/2 cup of raw honey

- 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract

- 1 tablespoon of cacao powder, organic (if desired)

In a bowl, mix all of the ingredients and stir or whisk together until they’re well combined.

Then, store it in a glass jar with a sealed lid.

How to use it:

First of all, brew your favorite fair-trade, organic cup of coffee (about 2 cups of it).

Next, add 1-2 tablespoons of coconut oil coffee creamer to the hot coffee.

Also, you can add a teaspoon of grass-fed butter. It is optional and isn’t actually part of the creamer concoction, but it will improve the creaminess and flavor!

By using a blender, you should blend the coffee and creamer on high speed for 5 seconds.

Finally, pour it into your special mug and enjoy!
